Hello beauties!!
Welcome to No Ordinary Beauty. I am so happy you are here. That is right each one of you are beautiful in your own way. I have lost and found my beauty multiple times over and over in my lifetime sometimes seeking to have no presence here. What I live with every day is like a puzzle scrambled in parts of odd functionality that cannot be put together permanently or controlled. It can be managed. You see I was diagnosed with Bipolar some time ago. At the time it was an inner cyclone of depression of one seeking help from within along one the many dark, elusive points. I thought I was living life to the fullest. Going from extreme maniac to severe depression time and time again.
The only reason I could identify what was going on was my beautiful mother. I lost her at the age of 11 to this horrific, misread, turbulent but beautiful disease. She was my hero, my world, my best friend. I have found I have to embrace what I have but only did so by hitting rock bottom by self-medicating and self-doctoring. I was lost, out of control and not wanting to function in this society when I was at a certain point of not stopping the uncontrollable thoughts, mindless decisions and so forth. My long, trusted doctor said to me in 2016 when I drove myself to her office after getting in trouble with the law and while being in a manic state, “You are a walking time bomb, waiting to explode. How did you even get yourself here?” Honestly, no clue. She knew I was desperate for help. I needed to be stabilized and functioning where the dark is not so dark and you can reach the light, leading a happy and more stable life. With this words said to me therefore I am here today. Today, my days are not so dark or difficult, and I seek ways to learn, live and love each day. I want to bring the same light to you. I want us to feel safe and share as much as want or as little as you want. I want to uplift, enlighten and inspire you to have more good days than the ugly ones because we all know they are there. This blog is all about our beautiful side, our sweet smiles and living our best with whatever problems or mental illness we may have or not have. I take a fancy on wanting to share my life on so many practical and useful things that I’ve learned and that you can implement into your own lives. Like food, who doesn’t like food? Self-care so we can all love ourselves a tad extra, the relationships we encounter and so much more. Join me and let’s ride this thing together. I hope you take away something, somewhere in here that keeps you feeling good. We all deserve to be bold, bubbly and beautiful.
Love so much, Whitney
